Is your iPhone acting up? Yes it’s true, iPhones have problems too. But what can you do when it’s REALLY messed up? If iTunes doesn’t see your iPhone’s cry for help, you may need to invoke recovery mode. Although it’s an extremely helpful mode, how to get there isn’t very apparent. Read on for the how-to!
As arcane as “recovery mode” sounds, it’s actually very simple:
Disconnect your iPhone and turn it off by holding the “Sleep/Wake” button for about five seconds and then sliding the red slider. If your iPhone is already off, there’s no need to turn it on and then off again. Once it’s off, press and hold the “Home” button and plug your iPhone into a Mac or PC with iTunes installed. Keep holding the “Home” button until you see a dock cable pointing to the iTunes icon. iPhones running older software will display a yellow triangle and text which says “Please Connect to iTunes”. Once you see this image, you can release the Home button.
Open iTunes (if it’s not already open) and you will be told that “iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode.” Click “OK” and you will be taken to the iPhone pane. Click “Restore” and you’re done, it’s that easy! Depending on the extent of your iPhone’s ills, it may take some time to do a full restore. Once you’re done, you should again have a perfectly working iPhone.
If this doesn’t solve your problem, you may need to restore using DFU (Direct Firmware Upgrade) mode. To enter this mode, plug in your iPhone and turn it off. Hold down the “Home” and “Sleep/Wake” buttons for about twelve seconds. You’ll briefly see the silver Apple logo and then your phone will appear to turn back off. Release the “Sleep/Wake” button but continue to hold the “Home” button until you see a message in iTunes stating that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. Choose “Restore” and you should be fixed right up!
If this doesn’t fix your problem, your iPhone may require a visit to the Genius Bar. You can find a local Apple Store and schedule an appointment at apple.com/retail.

Well i couldnt be bothered updating my site as my work life has kind of taken over my life, one thing this last week has tought me though is that i have much more in my life other than work. So i thought i would update my site and start using it again.
A few things have changed since my last posts but one thing that is cool is that i have just registered my original domain name kiddas.co.uk. This was on the back of a referral from dropcatcher and an old business partner of myself that caught the name then released it for me.
Many thanks, good to have my old original domain back after about 6 years!

A Canadian man is complaining after he was left broken-hearted when his girlfriend broke up with him – because she found suggestive text messages on his mobile phone. The only problem was, he hadn’t written them; they came pre-loaded on the phone.
The Winnipeg man is calling for the phones to be recalled, after his girlfriend of two and a half years dumped him after finding text messages saying ‘Booty call,’ ‘Where u at,’ and ‘Be there soon’ stored on his phone.
The messages were generic texts that came pre-installed on the phone, a Samsung device from Virgin Mobile. The man, identified by the Winnipeg Free Press only as ‘Darren P’, says he didn’t even know they wee on there.
‘I said, “You’re being ridiculous.” She said, “No I’m not, here’s the proof,”‘ he told the Free Press.
He called Virgin Mobile to complain, and was told to file a written complaint. He also returned to the store where he bought the phone – where the staff were as surprised as he was to find the cheeky messages on the phone.
.’At first, we didn’t believe him,’ shop assistant Mike Ford told the newspaper. ‘But when we looked at a couple of the same phones he bought, and found they all had the same messages.’
Darren now wants the phones to be recalled and the messages removed, to prevent other from having ‘to go through the hell I’m going through.’
